A judge will hold a detention hearing to determine whether Emmy Award-winning actor Timothy Busfield will be released from jail, The Associated Press reports.

Busfield is known for appearances in “The West Wing,” “Field of Dreams” and “Thirtysomething.” He is also married to actress Melissa Gilbert. In a video shared before turning himself in, Busfield called the allegations lies.

He was ordered held without bond at his first court appearance on Jan. 14, a day after he turned himself in to face charges stemming from allegations in 2022 that he inappropriately touched a minor on the set of a TV series he was directing in New Mexico.

He has not entered a plea as of Sunday and is facing up to 15 years behind bars if convicted. Busfield is scheduled to appear in court again on Jan. 29 for a preliminary examination.
