A federal judge sentenced a Gloucester County man to eight months in prison Tuesday for assaulting officers during the Jan. 6, 2021 rioting at the U.S. Capitol, namely by helping to ram a line of officers with a metal barricade.
Philip Young, 61, of of Sewell, Mantua Township, pleaded guilty in November to seven crimes, including assaulting, resisting, or impeding law enforcement officers and interfering with officers during a civil disorder, which are felonies, as well as five related misdemeanor charges.
