Theft occurs when an individual takes another individual’s property without permission and with the intent to keep it.

Robbery

Theft is upgraded to Robbery when the individual taking the property uses or threatens to use force in order to take the property.

Armed Robbery

Robbery is upgraded to Armed Robbery when the individual taking the property uses or threatens the use of a deadly weapon or when they cause someone serious injury while taking the property.

A Robbery Case We Handled

Strong armed robbery, Superior Court of New Jersey

Reduced to a town ordinance for a noise violation

2nd Degree Robbery Case

Client was charged with a strong armed robbery in the Superior Court of New Jersey and was being held on $100,000 cash only bail. Upon our first appearance the bail was reduced to $100 and the matter was remanded to the Jersey City Municipal Court where the charges were further reduced to town ordinance for a noise violation.
